• Description

  Lyloren is a somewhat short elf. His skin is a dusky grey, almost ashen, and his glowing eyes are surrounded by light violet circles. A small scar mars the corner of his right eye; once nearly invisible, the scar tissue is now a deep magenta, a marked contrast to his pallid charcoal skin. His hair is the deepest purple, and several of his "braids" appear, on closer inspection, to actually be some kind of tentacles.
  
  Like most of his kind, he dresses impeccably, typically in the sombre colours befitting his recent changes. He has a strong command of the Common tongue, though he speaks with a ringing Thalassian accent.

    I have never kept a journal before now; I have never felt the need. But it is fitting that, since I have now begun a new life, that I would adopt new practices.
    
    It has been one week since my transformation.
    
    I am ren'dorei now. Long before I became ren'dorei, my people -the sin'dorei- turned their back on me. Not just me; all the followers of Magister Umbric. They fear the powers we treat with. I try to be empathetic; I do not want to hate my people. But there is bitterness in my heart. And the whispers exploit that bitterness.
    
    We were never meant to change. We approached the Shadows with only good intentions. But I suppose intention matters little when working with forces older than creation itself.
    
    It is hard to not think back on Silvermoon with longing. To recall my apartments in the Walk of Elders, the silks and satins, the smell of hookah smoke.
    
    We were always such a soft people.
    
    Well, that is certainly the case no longer. Telogrus is a cold and barren place, though it is of course the best place to conduct our research. We have been welcomed in Stormwind City, but I cannot feel comfortable there; all eyes are upon you. The whispers of the dark are bad enough without giving them even more to chatter about.
    
    Lady Alleria has already taught us much. As if saving us all from that bastard of a Nether-Prince were not enough. Though she asks much; our return to the Alliance is not an easy one. But the king, though he is only a child, has a spark in his eye; I truly believe he desires what is best for all his people, which now includes me and mine as well.
    
    Tomorrow, I leave Telogrus for the first time in months. Lady Alleria has asked us to lend our aid where we can, and I intend to do just that. At least the Alliance has given us the opportunity to prove our loyalties.
    
    Damn you, Rommath. Damn you, Lor'themar. Damn you both to hell, and may Arthas greet you there when you arrive.
